Adept analogue addressable fire panels have been designed and constructed around proven and reliable microprocessor technology. This provides a modular, scalable fire alarm platform suitable for protecting a vast range of premises such as offices, hospitals and industrial units. The Adept panel supports five industry-leading protocols, namely System Sensor, Morley-IAS, Apollo, Hochiki and Nittan, which allows fire detection devices to be selected based on performance and aesthetic preference. The required loop card must be ordered separately. Designed for maximum adaptability, the Adept panel allows information on the location of fires, faults and system status to be easily accessed and displayed or printed at multiple locations. The flexibility and intelligence of the Adept analogue addressable panel ensure it's suitability for many installations such as new projects, retrofit and system expansion upgrades. |

The System The Adept control panel is the heart of the fire detection system and contains all of the required components, microprocessor, power supply with a clear liquid crystal display, system status indicator and the control buttons, which as the user interface. System users can easily assess the condition of the fire alarm system as alarm and fault conditions are highlighted by LED's and are supported by enhanced text descriptions on the LCD display. Clearly labeled buttons allow the user to quickly manipulate the system as required The use of user pass codes to gain access to functions ensures that malicious or accidental operation is prevented. Basic functions (Evacuate, Reset, Mute, Accept, Silence) are available at the first access level, whilst more advanced operations such as single device isolations, test modes and configuration data are protected by secondary level pass codes. Microprocessor's within each control panel maintain a log of events or actions occurring on the system. Fires, fault, tested devices and diagnostics are all electronically logged for future reference. The Adept control panel can be configured to support any one of the five detection protocols (System Sensor, Morley-IAS, Apollo, Hochiki and Nittan) by simply installing the correct loop driver cards in the controls panel. Installation Initial installation of the system is greatly aided by Autolearn, which is an internal routine that automatically detects all devices on the detection and peripheral loops, therefore saving time on entering all devices individually. Basic programming is also configured during the Autolearn, process, resulting in only fine tuning of the system being required to complete the system configuration. Maintenance The Adept control panels has been designed to provide standard weekly testing through s simple menu structure, allowing a selection of zones to be tested and also for the optional activation of the outputs and sounders. Individual devices can be analysed to determine whether cleaning or complete replacement is required. The information can either be viewed on the LCD or printed to produce a 'hard' copy. Networking Up to 99 controls panels can be networked together using the standard control panel operating system. The network can be configured in two ways; For single sites or large buildings, the networking is usually configured as a large system with each networked control panel sharing information. For multiple sites or buildings, the networking usually operates in a report and control mode. The panels act individually or as sub-system reporting information to the master panel on the level above. |
